Jonathan Safran Fair, a new-generation Jewish writer in the United States, focuses on the imaginative reconstruction of history and culture with the clue of root-seeking. In the process of reconstruction, Fair implants the concept of time in Messianism and emphasizes the construction of identity from traditional religious philosophy. It is an attempt to understand one's own Jewish identity in the way of learning, and it is also a cultural consciousness of Jewish descendants to continue their Jewish nature.
