Geological characteristics and prospecting direction of Hongshantou lead-zinc deposit in Hetian County of Xinjiang

位于新疆和田县喀喇昆仑山北坡的红山头铅锌矿,区域上处于林济塘(陆缘盆地)Cu-Au-RM-石膏矿带(Ⅳ级)中,有超大型火烧云铅锌矿床与之相毗邻。红山头铅锌矿赋矿地层为中侏罗统龙山组灰岩段,矿体受层位控制,似层状产出,其赋矿地层、矿化层位、矿石矿物成分、结构构造、围岩类型与火烧云铅锌矿一致,下一步本区铅锌找矿工作重点应是中侏罗统龙山组。

The Hongshantou Pb-Zn deposit is located in the northern slope of the Karakorum Mountain Ranges in Hetian County of Xinjiang. The tectonic position is set in the Cu-Au-RM-gypsum ore belt （Grade IV）of Linjitang continental margin basin, where Huosaoyun Pb-Zn deposit of super-large scale is in the adjacent area. The ore-bearing strata of the Hongshantou Pb-Zn deposit is the limestone section of Middle Jurassic Longshan Formation. The orebody is controlled by the stratium,semi-layered. The ore-bearing strata, mineralization layer,ore mineral composition, structure and texture, and wallrock alteration types are consistent with those of Huosaoyun Pb-Zn deposit. For the next step, the Pb-Zn prospecting work should be focus on the Middle Jurassic Longshan Formation in this area.
