Indonesia, with the world’s largest Muslim population, is widely concerned about the impact of Trump’s presidency on the Indonesia-US relations. On one hand, Trump’s Indonesia policy directly affected the direction of the Indonesia-US relations： firstly, Trump’s anti-Muslim remarks have aroused panic among the Indonesian people; secondly, the Trump administration’s trade protection policies have been affecting the deepening of bilateral trade between the two nations; at the same time, Trump’s emphasis on counterterrorism and security has also provided opportunities for security cooperation between the two countries.
