Urban Transformation Through Art:A Summary of the Shanghai Wusong International Art City Forum

城市工业遗产记录了经济社会发展的时代特征和历史风貌,是工业化开拓者创造并遗留给我们的历史财富,是文化遗产的重要组成部分。为对接上海2035城市副中心建设、吴淞工业区转型发展的规划需求,研究工业遗存转型战略和新型综合艺术城的发展策略,国际工业遗产保护委员会(TICCIH)、中国工业遗产联盟、上海美术学院和宝武集团联合主办上海国际艺术城论坛,邀请国内外艺术家、建筑师、城市规划专家等,立足于上海国际艺术城这一"无界之城",围绕产业转型、城市更新、艺术产业等主题,为艺术城的发展建设聚集智能,开启无限的可能。

The urban industrial heritage records the characteristics of the times and the historical features of the economic and social development. It is a historical wealth created and left by industrial pioneers and an important part of the cultural heritage. In order to be connected with the construction of 2035 urban sub-center and the planning demand for transformation and development of Wusong Industrial Zone, explore the industrial relics transformation strategy and the development strategy of new integrated art city, the International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage （TICCIH）, the League on Industrial Heritage in China （LIHC）, Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts （SAFA） and Baowu Steel Group jointly organize the SlAC （Shanghai International Art City） Forum, which aims to invite domestic and foreign artists, architects, urban planning experts and so on, gather wisdom for the development and construction of the art city and open up unlimited possibilities in SIAC, an ＂unbounded land＂ and themed by industrial transformation, urban regeneration and art industry.
