The internationalization of construction market leads to the application of EPC model more and more widely. This paper analyzes the problems of cost control in the design phase of the general contractor under the EPC model, including the poor economy of the design scheme, the lack of depth of design optimization, the poor quality of the design staff, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures to control the cost.
