The North American Seaborne Container Initiative （NASCI） is introduced overall in this paper,including the initiate meeting,the objective,the cleaning announcement and its next steps. The possible effects of NASCI on China＇s exports is discussed. Through commenting on NASCI and analyzing the current situation and shortage of China＇s import and export container phytosanitary,some suggestions for China＇s container phytosanitary work are put forward.
