Clinical Experience of Professor Zhang Jiemei in Treating for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea Type

张介眉教授认为腹泻型肠易激综合征之病位虽在肠腑,但亦为脾胃所主,其基本病机在于脾胃升降协调失衡,治疗上张教授尤其推崇仲景诸泻心汤制方之意,主张运用辛开苦降法为主以协调脾胃升降,随证灵活施用不同方药,扶脾升,助胃降,畅肠腑,止下利,总以复脾升胃降之协调平衡为务。

Professor Zhang Jiemei believes that although the location of the diarrhea-type irritable bowel syndrome is in the intestinal,the main factor should be Spleen and Stomach. The basic pathogenesis lies in the imbalance of Spleen and Stomach Qi movement. In the treatment of the disease,professor Zhang favors most the spirit of the Xiexin Decoctions created by Zhang Zhongjing.He proposes to use the Xin Kai Ku Jiang method to coordinate the Spleen and Stomach Qi lifting and decending. With flexible application of different prescriptions,the purpose of the treatment is to help Spleen lifting and to help stomach Qi decending so as to regulate the bowel Qi and stop the diarrhea,all of which is aimed at balancing the Spleen Qi and Stomach Qi movement.
