科学民主化与公共知识系统

Democratization of Science and The System of Public Knowledge

现代社会中,科学权威与民主理念都深入人心,然而公共领域中的新兴科技问题引发的各种争议造成了科学与民主间的紧张关系。这种紧张关系是由于人类长期认知实践所形成的公共知识系统在当代不能满足民主理想的要求所造成的。公共知识系统是一个社会的信息共享体,包括了社会和自然科学、艺术、文学、音乐等等,而在现代社会中科学成为其最突出的组成部分。公共知识系统中知识的公共存储包含了研究、提交、认证和传递四个阶段,一个促进民主理想的公共知识系统的理想形式应通过知识的分配正义为每个个体平等的提供他们追求个人"生活计划"所需要的知识。

In modern society,scientific authority and democratic ideas are deeply rooted in people＇s minds,but science tries to evade the political legitimacy of scientific democratization by virtue of its rationality of knowledge. The tense relationship between science and democracy is manifested in various public issues arising from emerging technology dispute. This tension is caused by the fact that the public knowledge system formed by human long-term cognitive practices cannot meet the requirements of democratic ideals in the present age. The public knowledge system is a social information sharing body that includes social and natural sciences,art,literature,music,and so on,and science has become its most prominent component in modern society. The public depository of system of public knowledge has four processes which are investigation,submission,certification and transmission,The ideal form of a public knowledge system that promotes the ideal of democracy should provide each individual with equal access to the knowledge they need to pursue an individual＂life plan＂through the just distribution of knowledge.
