The quality of university journals depends to some extent on the professional quality of journal editors.This paper discusses the basic qualities that editors of university journals should possess from their professional sensitivity,professional qualities and academic practice.It is believed that cultivation of editors＇professional quality is the key to improve the quality of university journals in the new era.
