断层磨砾岩的命名及其研究意义

THE NOMENCLATURE OF PUDDING-STONE AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ITS STUDY

(一) 在描述断裂构造岩时,断层角砾岩是广为引用的术语,这无疑是对断裂破碎岩石形象化地命名。但是在压性或扭性的断裂带中,岩石破碎的形状并不都是棱角状的,常常是拉长状、透镜状以至浑圆状的。这种砾显然不是角砾,而是经过错动破碎、滚动研磨,产生相应的动力变质、应力矿物,具有一定滚圆度,分选性的“磨砾”了,若这种磨砾再由碎屑物胶结成岩,则命名为“磨砾岩”(图版Ⅱ—7)。

All tie gravels in the fault zones are not brecciss.In the process of their formation,There are tens and kidney, lenticular and ellipsoidal in their forms, and, therefore, they are called pudding. If the tectonites are made up of them, we call them pudding-stones. In our opinion,the pudding-stones can also be divided into flatten pudding-stone, pudding-stone and circular pudding-stone. They are closely related to their texture and structure and the mechanism of forming pudding-stones.We study it because it can provide us the important evidence as the distinguishing mechanisal nature of structural plane and structural compound pheno-nomena,and there is no doubt that it is of great importance for the exploration and the exploitation of deposits.
