Mastering a certain amount of classical Chinese words is the basis for learning classical Chinese. That studentsmaster the commonly-used words in the middle school is helpful to master the classical Chinese. This paper analyzesthe words in the ancient poems and classical articles in the middle school textbooks to determine the word frequency inclassical Chinese study and to find out the efficient ways for middle school students to learn classical Chinese.
