摘要
本研究采用跟踪调查的方式,通过对初级汉语二语学习者在为期六个月内的五次考试成绩进行统计分析,讨论了媒介语在对外汉语初级阶段教学中的作用。调查数据表明,媒介语能够促进汉语二语初级阶段的学习,并对学习者的后续学习产生影响,在停止使用媒介语转而使用汉语授课后,媒介语组被试的成绩仍然能够保持领先状态。研究认为,学习者认知过程中所产生的认知负荷的高低及其情感因素是影响其学习成绩的两个重要因素,而这两个因素都与是否使用媒介语密切相关。文章最后还对媒介语使用的原则进行了讨论,认为媒介语的使用应遵循适当、必要、有度的原则。
This study examines the role of the medium of instruction in CSL classroom teaching on the basis of a statistical analysis of learners" five examinations during six months. Results of the study show that the use ofinstruction medium facilitates elementary level learning and benefits the follow-up learning. Even after switching from the medium of instruction to Chinese as the teaching language, learners from the medium of instruction group still performed better than the control group. Principles of using the medium of instruction are proposed, i.e., it should be used appropriately, necessarily and moderately.
