摘要
本文通过对英汉语言中颜色词“red”(红色)用法的探讨,说明由于传统风俗、历史背景、语言习惯、宗教信仰等等各方面的差异而导致对“red”(红色)这一词的使用有较大差别。因此,了解并掌握此类颜色词及其所构成词汇的差异对跨文化交际具有一定的实际意义。
The paper is aimed to discuss the usage of color word“red”in English and Chinese,indicating that due to the traditional customs,historical background,language habits,religious belief and so on,there are heavy differences in the use of the color word“red”.Therefore,it has certain actual meanings to understand and know the differences of this type of color words and phrases in English and Chinese in order to have intercultural communications.
