摘要
本文从看似规则实则有异的基、序数词,英国英语与美国英语之间的差异,英汉两种语言在表示增加或减少的倍数时的差异,基数词惯用法以及数词与动词、名词之间的微妙关系这六个方面论述了英语数词的奇妙之处。
This essay deals with the marvelous points of the English numeral from such aspects as the differences be- tween British English and American English,the usage of cardinal numerals and the delicate relationship between nu- merals and verbs,(or)nouns.
