英汉语情感隐喻认知对比分析

The Cognitive Comparison of Emotion Metaphor between English and Chinese

认知语言学家们认为隐喻不仅是人类认知和思维的工具,而且在情感概念中也起着重要的作用。文章在现代认知隐喻理论的框架下,以人类基本情感中的"悲伤"和"恐惧"的隐喻表达作为研究对象,对英汉两种日常语言中的情感隐喻认知在共性和个性差异方面进行了系统地对比分析和论述,并依据体验哲学理论和中医的阴阳五行等理论解释现代隐喻理论的普遍性和差异性。

Cognitive linguists hold that metaphor not only is an important tool in human cognition and thought, but also plays a vital role in the conceptualization of emotion concepts. This paper analyzes and discusses the simi-larities and differences of emotional metaphors between English and Chinese in the theoretical framework of the contemporary conceptual metaphor theory.'Sad'and'fear'metaphor is as research object. Furthermore,it at-tempts to explain the universalities and differences from the perspective of Yin-Yang theory and'five-element'the-ory of traditional Chinese medicine.
