摘要
远程学习者的学习特点决定了他们的学习方法应与在校生有所区别。笔者认为远程学习者英语水平的提高取决于阅读能力的提高。通过加强英语词汇教学,可以提高他们的阅读水平。这种教学思路的有效性在教学实践中得到了验证。
Long distance learners' learning ways should be different from those who study at college in the day-time because of their own special characteristics. The writer thinks the improvement of long distance learners' Eng-lish depends on their improvement of reading comprehension,which can be achieved by emphasizing vocabulary teaching. This teaching method has been proved to be useful in the teaching practice.
