Experience and Enlightenment:The Four Major Practical Patterns of Urbanization in Rural China

苏南、温州、晋江、珠江三角洲这四个区域的农村城镇化发展过程及其成功经验被概括为"苏南模式"、"温州模式"、"晋江模式"、"珠江模式"。从四大实践模式的经验来看,农村城镇化需要从实际出发,因地制宜地探索适合本地区实际的农村城镇化模式,积极推进工业化进程,着力加强工业园区的建设,充分发挥民营经济主力军作用,大力发展特色产业,培育产业集群,提高城镇竞争力。

The course and successful experiences of the urbanization of the four districts,South Jiangsu, Wenzhou,Jinjiang and Zhujiang delta,are summarized as 'South-Jiangsu Pattern','Wenzhou Pattern','Jinjiang Pattern' and'Zhujiang-Delta Pattern'.Enlightened by the experience of the four major practical patterns,we should develop an urbanization pattern that suits the local circumstances to push ahead the industrialization process,placing more emphasis on the development of industrial park,bringing the private enterprises into full play as the main force,developing the characteristic industry with great exertion,fostering industry groups,and enhancing the competition ability of the urbanized areas.
