摘要
采集中英文有关爱情的隐喻,从认知的角度探讨隐喻的本质。隐喻是人类认知的工具,它深植于人类的语言、思维和文化中,因此理解隐喻不能脱离其所处的历史文化环境。
This paper attempts to explore the nature of metaphor from the perspective of human cognition through examples of metaphorical concepts of love in English and Chinese. It is concluded that linguistic metaphor, as the tool for human cognition,is deeply embedded in language,thought and culture and the interpretation is context-dependent.
