Most of Alice Munro's novels are short, with the theme of the ordinary life of the female in the small town. However, itssubtle cut and narrative way could reveal the versatility of things and a good depth of human nature. Runway is a masterpiece ofMunro, and three stories in it, Chance, Soon and Silence, which are surrounding three life stages of Juliet, describe the real life, andshow the process of a soul returning to peace. The narrative strategies from the perspective of anachrony will be listed and analyzed,in order to explore how the author shows Juliet's escape from the family and self.
