Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, as an important writer of"the Jazz Age"of the United States, wrote his masterpiece The Great Gatsby. After a close reading of the novel, the author finds that the main characters in the novel have more or less mobility inspace. Thus this article will illustrate the theme of the novel—the pursuit and disillusionment of American Dream from aspect ofmobility in space, so as to reveal the gains and losses of the characters in search of their own identity during their pursuits of Ameri-can Dream.
