[ Objective] The aim of this research is to understand the status of germplasm resources of Lilium sargentiae in Yunnan province. [ Method] Field survey and literature review were adopted to research the status of germplasm resources of L. sargentiae, and the phenotypic diversity of 20 wild populations of L. sargentiae was analyzed. [ Result] The resources of L. sargentiae in Zhaotong and Qujing were the most abundant, followed by Kunming, Wenshan, Honghe and Baoshan, the Northwest Yunnan was the least and only seen in the valley of Jinsha river, there were no distribution in Pu-er and Lincang area. The F values of L. sargentiae' s 14 traits were from 2.18 to 19.10, which showed significant or quite significant differentiation among populations. The mean phenotypic differentiation coefficient was 73.58 % , and the variation anmng populations (59.5 % ) was higher than that within population (19.76 % ). 20 wild populations in the clustering tree could be divided into 2 branches, and there was not obvious geographical difference. [ Conclusion] L. sargentiae is widely distributed in Yun- nan province, and it is rich in phenotypic genetic diversity.
