Plastic and aesthetic surgery of genital organs has a long history. With the development of society, the improvement of understanding and the emancipation of mind, more and more attention has been paid to it. It not only solves the functional problems, but also improves the appearance from the aesthetic point of view. This paper reviews the development history of plastic cosmetology of external genital organs, explores the relationship between plastic cosmetology of external genital organs and functions, aesthetics, sexuality medicine and psychology, and analyses the current situation of plastic cosmetology of external genital organs. It is believed that plastic cosmetology of external genital organs will become a new hotspot in the feld of plastic cosmetology and an important task for plastic surgeons.
