翻译专业教师文化隐性课程意识调查研究——以广东高校英语翻译专业教师为例 被引量:2

A Survey of Cultural Awareness of Teachers of Translation in the Hidden Curriculum——A Case Study of Teachers of English Translation in Universities and Colleges in Guangdong

摘要 作为语言和文化的传授者,翻译教师的文化隐性课程直接影响着课堂文化教学效果,也对学生文化素养的提高起着潜移默化的作用。目前国内英语翻译专业教师的文化隐性课程研究处于严重缺失状态。调查发现,翻译老师重视传统的文化教学资源,较为忽视现代教育技术资源和校园课室资源的利用;虽然都很注重文化教学,但在制度建设上力度还不够;教师言传身教的意识非常强,但对中国文化的传播意识还不够,对学生文化自信和文化思辨力的培养较欠缺;对学生课外文化活动的参与力度重视不够,自身文化实践活动较少。针对这一现状,翻译教师需培养自己的资源意识、制度意识和自我提升发展意识;学校应大力营造和谐的文化教学氛围和物质条件,支持翻译教师的各种课外文化教学实践;政府和教育部门应从制度、培训和资金层面予以规范和支持。 The cultural hidden curriculum of teachers of translation, who are the imparters of language and culture, directly influences the effect of classroom cultural teaching and plays a subtle role in improving students’cultural literacy. At present, the research on cultural hidden curriculum of teachers of English translation in China is seriously lacking. Based on the survey, this paper points out the existing problems. First,teachers of translation attach great importance to traditional resources of cultural teaching, while neglecting the use of modern resources of education technology and classroom resources on campus. In addition, although they emphasize the importance of cultural teaching, they do not make enough effort in institutional improvement. Moreover, despite their strong awareness of hands- on teaching, they still lack the consciousness of spreading the Chinese culture, as well as the cultivation of students’cultural confidence and cultural critical thinking. Last but not least, they do not pay enough attention to students’participation in extracurricular cultural activities, and their own cultural practices are also lacking. In view of this situation, teachers of translation should cultivate their sense of resources, institutions and self-improvement; schools should vigorously create a harmonious cultural and teaching atmosphere and a better material environment to support various extracurricular cultural teaching practices of these teachers; governments and educational departments should provide regulation and support in terms of institutionalization, training and funding.
