也论汉语方言[昨天][今天][明天]的时间表达系统及其来源

Further discussion on the origin of time expression systems for yesterday, today and tomorrow in Chinese dialects

本文对《汉语方言[昨天][今天][明天]的时间表达系统及其来源》一文的结论提出不同的看法。通过历史文献的细致考察分析,可知《歧路灯》中"昨天""明天"的用例未能信凭。"夜晚义成分+日、今日、早晨义成分+日"作为一个系统存在不能成立。汉语方言[昨天][今天][明天]的时间表达系统主要源于古代以下三个表达系统:(1)"昨日、今日、明日"系统;(2)"昨朝、今朝、明朝"系统;(3)"昨天、今天、明天"系统。

This paper proposes a point of view which disagrees with the conclusion of the article‘The origin of time expression systems for yesterday, today and tomorrow in Chinese dialects’. It argues that the texts of zuotian and mingtian in Qilu Deng( 《歧 路 灯 》) are not reliable through a detailed investigation and analysis of historical documents. It is not reasonable to claim the existence of a time expression system consisting of‘elements related to the meaning of night + day, words that express today, and elements related to the meaning of morning + day’. This paper holds the view that the time expression systems for yesterday, today and tomorrow in Chinese dialects are mainly derived from the following three time expression systems in ancient Chinese: 1) zuori, jinri and mingri; 2) zuozhao,jinzhao and mingzhao; 3) zuotian, jintian and mingtian.
