Advanced Progress on the SFPQ

SFPQ(Splicing factor proline-and glutamine-rich)是一种DNA/RNA结合蛋白,参与RNA的剪接、成熟和翻译。近年来的研究发现,SFPQ还与其他生命活动相关。就SFPQ参与的DNA修复,肿瘤的发展,神经的发育与再生,甚至是神经退行性疾病的发生发展相关研究作一阐述,不仅有助于对SFPQ的认识,也为其相关研究提供一种新思路。

SFPQ（Splicing factor proline-and glutamine-rich）is a DNA/RNA binding protein which is required for RNA splicing,processing and translation. Some recent studies have found that SFPQ is also related to other life activities. In this paper, the studies of SFPQ about DNA repairing, development of tumor and neuron,neuron regeneration and development of neurodegenerative disease are briefly introduced. It is hoped that this review will stimulate more studies on SFPQ and provide a new way of thinking for related research.
