Kazuo Ishiguro＇s novel Never Let Me Go represents his innovation on narrative techniques. Ethical Significance, thematic meaning and characterization are vividly presented in the novel through first-person external focalization and first-person internal focalization. On the basis of Rimmon-Kenan＇s focalization, the paper, in the light of theoretical research of classical narratology and postclassical narratology, tends to analyze how narrative focalization and narrative techniques endow the novel with the permanent artistic charm.
