容闳历史贡献及思想启迪的扩展性研究

Expansive Study on the Historical Contribution of Rong Hong and its Enlightenment

容闳是珠海文化历史名人,也是中国近代史上做出过重要贡献和具有特殊意义的重要人物。容闳在海外留学、现代教育、对外开放、文化沟通、外交理念、科技引进等不同侧面留下的历史背影,均有耐人寻味的现实启迪。作为＂留学生之父＂,容闳在确立培养新式人才的战略性目标、倡导西学东渐的教育改革方向、坚持中学为体和东西合璧的教育主张、提出并实施知行并重的教育方针等方面做出重要贡献。随着中国改革开放的深化,对于容闳与太平天国的复杂关系,容闳与曾国藩、李鸿章、张之洞的交往,容闳与康梁的关系及其参与政治、影响改良维新运动的历史评价,等等,需要研究者进一步扩展视野、转换角度,发掘其历史作为的现实意义。

Rong Hong was one of the cultural celebrities in the history of Zhuhai and was also an important figure in the modern Chinese history who made important contribution with special significance. He left different aspects of historical profile in overseas study,modern education, opening to the outside world,cultural communication,diplomatic philosophy and introduction of science and technology with intriguing realistic enlightenment. As the ＂father of overseas students＂,Rong Hong made great contribution to the establishment of strategic target for cultivating new talent, advocating the education reform of spreading Western learning to the east,adhering to Chinese academic system as well as the combination of eastern and western educational ideas, putting forward and implementing educational policy for both aspects. With the deepening of China＇s reform and opening up,in the complex relationship between Ronghong and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom,the interaction between Rong Hong and Zeng Guofan, Li Hongzhang, Zhang Zhidong, Rong Hong＇s exchanges with Kang and Liang, his participation in politics and the improvement of thereform movement etc.,need further study in changed point of view so as to explore their practical significance.
