日本国际政治学的研究特色与经验借鉴

Characteristics of Japanese International Political Studies and Their Implications

《日本国际政治学》丛书既体现了日本国际政治研究对学术现状的积极追踪与跟进,也反映了比较鲜明的日本特色。长期以来,全面引进与学习是日本国际政治学研究的重要组成部分和起点,为创新奠定了基础。日本国际政治学的创新并不在于刻意追求理论新意,而是将本土研究传统与历史背景进行结合,强调基于文献的实证研究方法,侧重地区研究和历史研究的不断深化。第二次世界大战后,文献史料的进一步公开也强化了日本国际政治学研究的上述传统,同时形成了与政策建议保持一定距离、坚持学术性的学术方向。近年来,随着国际局势及日本对此认知的变化,日本国际政治学研究开始出现主张学术与现实的接近与互动等新动向。

The Japanese Studies of International Politics series,which covers four fields of theoretical perspectives on international politics,international politics beyond border,area studies and international politics,and historical approaches to international politics,showcases the most recent achievements of Japanese international political studies. While providing a comprehensive survey of the field, the series reveals distinctive characteristics of Japanese international political studies.Introducing and studying foreign works are very important components and starting points of Japanese international political studies.Meanwhile,the so-called innovation in Japanese international political studies is not a deliberate pursuit of theoretical innovation. More importantly,it is a combination of local research tradition and historical background,emphasizing empirical research methods based on archives and documents. After World War II, the publication of historical materials in Japan strengthened this research tradition. Scholars and their academic research have maintained a certain distance from policies and politics. With the changing international situation and Japan’s new understanding of such changes,Japanese international political studies begins to advocate greater interaction between academic research and real world. Security research also has attracted increased attention,which has traditionally been a marginal concern among Japanese international politics specialists in the postwar era.
