当前澳中关系新变化及其深层原因探析

Analysis of the Changes in the Current Australia-China Relationship and the Underlying Reasons

1972年澳中建交后,双边关系发展较为平稳,一度成为不同社会制度、不同文化国家间关系的典范。然而近年来,两国关系却进入多事之秋。这背后的原因是多方面的,而下述原因值得关注:澳中关系的结构性基础已经发生了变化;澳大利亚在中国外交战略布局中的处境渐显尴尬;澳大利亚与中国进行战略博弈的筹码日渐稀少,等等。这些因素决定了澳大利亚对华政策缺乏清晰的战略视角以及一以贯之的政策。澳中关系如要实现转寰,关键在于澳方转变心态,与中方相向而行,并为澳中关系的发展付出切实努力。

After the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and China in 1972, the development of their bilateral relations was relatively stable and once became a model for relations between different social systems and different cultures. However, in recent years, their relationship has entered an eventful period. The reasons behind are manifold, and the following reasons merit attention： the structural foundation of Australia-China relations has changed; Australia has an increasingly embarrassing situation in China＇s diplomatic strategy; and Australia has less bargaining chips for playing a strategic game with China. These factors determine that Australia＇s China policy lacks a clear strategic perspective and consistency. To improve the Australia-China relationship, the key is that Australia should change its mentality, work with China for common goals, and make tangible efforts for it.
