Body and Ecocriticism

身体话题由来已久,在生态批评的视域中,身体与自然亦有着复杂的纠葛。人们对身体的思考流变与人和自然关系的变化一直交织在一起。生态批评自诞生至今,虽未显明而普遍地强调身体研究的重要性,但其发展无疑深受身体理论的影响,并在其自身的理论探索和构建上与身体话题紧密相关,呈现出"身体"维度。生态批评的身体维度主要体现在弥合二元对立、物质化以及关于"地方"的思考。在生态批评的语境下,身体的话语为人类认识和处理自身与自然的关系拨开了层层迷雾。

The topic of body has a long history. In the view of ecocriticism, body and nature also have complicated entanglements. People’s thinking about body has been intertwined with changes of the relationship between human and nature. Since the birth of ecocriticism, though it doesn’t emphasize obviously and universally the importance of studies on body, its development has undoubtedly been influenced by the theory of body. Its own theoretical exploration and construction are also closely related to the topic of body, presenting the dimension of “body”. This dimension is mainly embodied in the deconstruction of binary opposition, materialization and the study of “place”. In the context of ecocriticism, the discourse of body makes it clearer to recognize and deal with the relationship between oneself and nature.
