Abstract As early as West Zhou,the function of the education of Poetry was highly valued and constructed in the spiritual construction of Li and Yue.The Poetry was then one important category and content for aristocratic children.Until the time Confucius set up private schools, Poetry had become a systematic subject with certain difficulty.During the process of expanding the educational scale and influence of poetry,Confucius’s construction of poetry education contributed most.The application,quotation and evaluation of the Poetry is the best embodiment of Confucius’s poetry education.
