论潮汕石刻的文献特点与价值

The Characteristics and Value of Chaoshan Stone Inscription

潮汕是广东石刻文献存世比较集中的地区,宗教信仰、韩愈谪潮、抗倭平寇和记事铭功是潮汕石刻的主要内容。潮汕石刻的文献特点和价值表现在三个方面:一是内容的全面性,二是记录的系统性,三是文献的珍稀性。学界对其整理与研究亦有误录与缺乏完全整理本等不足之处,不利于文化传承与学术研究。

In Guangdong, Chaoshan is comparatively rich in stone inscriptions, covering topics like religious faith, Han Yu's banishment to Chaozhou, repelling Japanese bandits, and histories and feats. Their characteristics and value are demonstrated in three aspects: comprehensiveness of content, systematicity of record and rarity as documents. The current research on Chaoshan stone inscriptions, with inaccuracy and incompleteness of record, is disadvantageous for cultural heritage and academic studies.
