On Ye Guangqin's Novel

叶广芩的小说从文体上可分为长篇小说和中短篇小说。前者以《青木川》《状元媒》《采桑子》《全家福》为代表,多采用怀旧笔法、"回忆录"式叙述口吻,讲述了作家的人生见闻和家族生活,表现出鲜明的现实主义品格和历史主义色彩;后者以《黄连厚朴》《山鬼木客》《梦也何曾到谢桥》(中短篇小说集)为代表,笔涉抗战、"上山下乡"运动、生态环保等题材,表现出强烈的社会介入意识和批判精神。

Ye guangqin＇ s novel might be divided two kinds in style： long novel and middle-short novel. The former is made up of novels such as QingMuChuan and ZhuangYuanMei, CaiSangZi and QuanJiaFu. In writing this kind of novels, the method of nostalgic style and the tone of recalling were always used by the writer in order to telling about her knowledge and lives concerning her elan. All this reflect bright realistic character and historical color. The latter is represented for novels such as HuangLianHouPu and ShanGuiMuKe and MengYeHeCengDaoXieQiao （everyone is the collected works belong to middle-short novel）. These works are concerning the war of resistance, the drive of working in the countryside and mountain Areas, protection of ecologic al environment and so on. All this display the strong consciousness of intervening society and the critical spirit.
