Value Analysis and Research on “I Pay the Books You Choose”——Taking Guangdong Polytechnic Institute as An Example

以广东理工职业学院"你选书,我买单"活动数据作为样本,研究其价值和作用。研究发现:活动可以减缓但并不能改变新书借阅率下降的趋势,减少僵尸借阅证数量,扩大图书馆影响力,营造了良好的校园文化氛围;但也存在选购的图书类别失衡,自我性、娱乐性倾向明显,与学校专业需求不匹配等问题。笔者建议:平衡读者选购和馆员采购的关系,制定明确、详细的选书标准,要求书商根据专业需求供书等。

According to the sample data from ＂I Pay the Books You Choose＂, the author researches on its value and functions. The result finds out that ＂I Pay the Books You Choose＂ can slow down, but can＇ t change the decreasing trend of the lending ratio of new books. It can reduce the amount of unused library cards and gain influence. Also, it can construct the cultural atmosphere in college. But it causes many problems such as lack of balance of different sort of books that reader chose, choosing only the books that the reader needed for fun, the books that reader chose mismatching professional needs, etc. The author puts forward some proposals including optimizing the ratio of the books that reader bought and that the librarians purchased, making the detailed standards of purchasing books and asking booksellers to provide books according to professional needs etc.
