Experience by Professor QUE Huafa in Treating Varicose Veins of Lower Extremities

阙华发教授认为中气下陷是下肢静脉曲张发病之本,在治疗上主张以升阳举陷贯穿始终,调节整体,同时注重局部辨证,动态运用活血利水、补肾填精、化痰软坚、养血活血等方法,不仅可明显减轻患者临床症状,如下肢肿胀、色素沉着、脂质硬皮病、皮肤湿疹样皮炎等,还能防止病情进一步发展,疗效显著。

Professor QUE Huafa holds that sinking of center qi is the root of the varicose veins of the lower extremities. In the treatment,raising yang and lifting the sunken should always be applied,and local syndrome differentiation should be emphasized. Activating blood and promoting urination,tonifying kidney and supplementing essence,resolving phlegm and softening hardness,nourishing blood and activating blood should be applied dynamically. By doing that,clinical symptoms like lower extremity swelling,pigmentation,lipid scleroderma,skin eczema-like dermatitis could be relieved obviously, and also the progression of disease could be prevented with significant effect.
