摘要
基于钙、铁两种元素在地球历史演变中的物源特性及演化规律,以广西来宾铁桥剖面马滩段为例,对该剖面样品新鲜面的颜色、元素含量的纵向及横向变化进行定量测量,并对样品采集、数据收集、数据处理方法和理论依据进行了探索。研究发现,在短距离范围内,尽管同一岩层具备横向可追溯性和可对比性,但其色度和元素地球化学指标等存在明显的差异,并存在穿层现象。因此,在短距离横向地层上的变化,将对剖面的平移衔接和数据偏差造成一定程度的影响。
Well exposed strata of the Matan Member at the auxiliary GSSP section of the Guadalupian- Lop- ingian boundary at Hongshuihe, Laibin, Guangxi, was investigated as a case study for vertical and lateral correlation. The color, calcium content and iron content, were documents and analyzed to infer depositional environment and sediment provenance. This work found that a traceable rock bed varies laterally over a short distance in color and elemental concentrations, suggesting that caution must be exercised in chronostratigraphic and environment correlation through lateral tracing.
