This paper studied the influencing factors of farmers and herdsmen's consumption in Nyingchi, Tibet through field investigation and questionnaire surveys combined with the existing literature results. 160 questionnaires were distributed and successfully received in Nyingchi pastoral area, which have been analyzed by tools such as SPSS19.0. The results showed that the consumption level of farmers and herdsmen in Nyingchi city has been somewhat improved, but there is still a gap compared with other regions; the consumption structure of farmers and herdsmen in Nyingchi city are still in the stage of transformation from survival-based consumption to the development consumption and enjoyment consumption. It is mainly influenced by the following factors:(1) The single income source of farmers and herdsmen in Nyingchi and their practical-based consumption concept;(2) the high price of goods in Nyingchi city and low-efficiency in solving the problem of improving commodity quality;(3) the uncompleted social security system and basic facilities in Nyingchi City. Therefore, suggestions for raising income level are raised, which containsimproving consumption concept, regulating price level, meeting commodity demands, improving social security and improving infrastructure.
