After two - hundred years of the publication of Jane Austen’s novels, Austen has already become a well - known classical novelist of England. Since 20th century, diverse and numerous researches promotes the popularity of Austen. This thesis＇ based on the related treatises and papers,analyses the Anglo-American Austenian researches from the perspective of theme criticism,form criticism and contemporary criticism , in an attempt to clarify and summarize the status of the development of Anglo-A- merican Austenian research.
