霍译红诗的视象美再现

Reproduction of Visual Beauty in Hawks' Translation of Hong Poetry

选取《红楼梦》中的典型诗歌,以霍克斯翻译《红楼梦》诗歌的英文译文为研究对象,按照接受美学原理,单以"五美"中的"视象美"构建理论架构,探究诗歌的译文是如何以视象美再次展现在西方读者面前的,从而赏析霍克斯翻译策略和技巧的精妙之处。霍克斯运用变换诗行结构,用音象美弥补译文中视象美的缺憾等方法成功向西方读者展示原诗的美。

The thesis summarizes translation techniques and skills utilized by Hawks,taking typical poems in The Story of the Stone as research subject,and analyses the successful reproduction of visual beauty in the framework of＂Five Beauties＂. It is concluded that Hawks employs varied structured of poems,and uses phonetic beauty to make up the loss of visual beauty of the original poems so as that the westerners can experience it.
