《人之声》是英国女作家佩·菲茨杰拉德创作的一部小说,聚焦书写战时建构的命运共同体的＂共生＂内涵。一方面,小说借皮纳德之口抨击英国奉行的绥靖政策,认为这种有害寄生行为将给共同体带来灾难。命运共同体是一种深层的人类集体文化记忆,应以互惠共生平等关系为基础,尤其要避免寄生现象及其危害。另一方面,小说通过刻画两位寄生型人物,试图表明漠视对他者的责任、爱的缺失是导致寄生行为的主要原因,呼吁要将人的生命置于首位,用爱滋养共同体的茁壮成长,彰显出作家对大写人的生命存在方式的人文关怀。

Human Voices is written by British novelist Penelope Fitzgerald. It shows its interest in the community with a shared future in the war time and explores issue of mutualism within the community. On the one hand,the novel criticizes the policy of appeasement in Britain and argues that this parasitical behavior would do great harm to the construction of community. The community with a shared future as a deep collective cultural memory,should be developed on an equal mutualism. So parasitism should be warned against. On the other hand,the novel depicts two parasitical characters and shows that the indifference for the other and the lack of love should mainly account for the parasitism. It calls on the supreme importance of fresh life and love to thrive the community and shows its insightful concern for the existence of human beings.
