One of the most important schools of art in the 20th century, earth art pays close attention to the factors of man, nature and society. It has no obvious boundary with landscape art and draws the distance between art and landscape design, and at the same time it develops its own art. It has deeply influenced the design idea of modern landscape, which makes landscape design pay more attention to ecology and nature. Landscape design is in？uenced by the earth art, and it is also moving towards the direction of humanization more and more. In this paper, the origin and characteristics of the earth art are expounded, and the guiding role of the earth art to the landscape is discussed. Under the in？uence of this art form, people have a growing sense of af？nity towards the modern landscape.
