Effects of Fluctuation on Prices of Construction Materials to Profits of EPC Projects and Countermeasures

近年来,建筑材料,特别是钢材水泥等基础材料的价格上涨给EPC项目收益带来了巨大的影响,使国内各EPC承包商面临巨大的市场挑战。分析了建材价格上涨情况及其与项目成本的关系,指出在新的经济环境中应特别关注建材价格波动给EPC项目执行所带来的风险,并采取相应控制措施。

Recently, the profits of EPC projects has been affected form the rise in prices of construction materials, especially in prices of fundamental materials, such as steel and cement. All EPC contractor is faced great challenges in market. In this article, the relations between rise in prices of construction materials and the cost of projects were analyzed. It was indicated that in new economic environment attention of the risk induced from the fluctuation of the prices of construction materials should be especially paid, and some relative measures must be prepared and executed in time.
