基于WoS分析我国创办英文科技期刊的学科需求

Requirements of English scientific journal establishment in disciplines based on WoS analysis

【目的】了解我国英文科技期刊学科分布情况,为创办英文科技期刊提供学科方向参考。【方法】基于Web of ScienceTM(Wo S)学科分类,利用In Cites数据库对各学科及期刊2016—2017年发文情况进行分析。【结果】Wo S共有252个学科,其中自然科学有176个学科,我国在144个自然科学学科中有相关期刊被SCI收录,其他32个学科还没有相关期刊被SCI收录。在还没有相关期刊被SCI收录的32个学科中,我国学者在其中17个学科的SCI收录期刊的发文量超过1000篇;在有相关期刊被SCI收录的144个学科中,我国学者发文量在2000篇以上且在我国期刊发文量占在全球期刊发文量的比例低于3%的学科有45个。【结论】我国英文科技期刊的发展远远落后于科研水平的提升,不足以支撑科研论文的发表,建议加快创办英文期刊的进程,加大创刊力度,填补学科空白。

[Purposes] This paper aims to understand the discipline distribution of English scientific joumais published in China, and provide references of disciplines or fields for the journal establishment in the future. [Methods ] Paper publications of various disciplines and journals from 2016 to 2017 were investigated via the database and tools of InCites, and the research fields were based on the discipline categories of Web of Science. [Findings] Of the 176 natural science categories in Web of Science （252 categories in total）, we have journals in China indexed by SCI in 144 categories, 32 categories is blank, and in 17 of these blank categories more than 1000 papers from China are published in journals of other countries. In 45 disciplines of the 144 categories, more than 2000 papers are from China but less than 3% of them were published in domestic journals. [Conclusions] The development of English scientific journals published in China lags far behind the improvement of scientific research level, which is insufficient to support the publication of scientific research papers. It is recommended to speed up the process and intensity of establishing English journals, and fill gaps in disciplines.
