By chronologically reviewing Mr. Zhou Zuoren＇s dedication of constructing libraries during the 1920s to 1940s, through large amount of academically neglected historian facts and details, this paper articulates the critical relationship between Zhou Zuoren and libraries, and his choice of values and life gesture to demonstrate his unique mind state and confirm his significance in the history of modern culture and library science.
