SHANG Jiwu＇s monograph Study on the Narrative Art of Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio is inspired by the criticism theory of ancient Chinese novels.Based on the study and absorption of the research results of predecessors, the analytical dimension and criticism method of Western narratology are used.
