In this paper, the characteristics and development process of aluminum foam materials are briefly introduced. As a new type of function- structural metal composite material, it has excellent comprehensive performance and application prospects. Classification of foamed aluminum materials is summarized~ the preparation methods and preparation principles of closed-cell and open-cell aluminum foams are analyzed. And furthermore, a brief analysis of the focus and trends of future research are analyzed based on the recent research progress of aluminum form in domestic and abroad and its application in various fields.
