Objective To explore the clinical effect of fixed and active denture in the repair treatment of periodontaldisease and dentition defect. Methods From June 2014 to June 2016, a total of 100 patients with periodontal disease anddentition defect in our hospital were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into control group and studygroup by applying digital parity methods, with 50 cases in each group. Active denture repair was used in the control group, fixed denture repair was applied in the study group. The clinical efficacies of the two groups were compared. Results Aftertreatment, the bleeding index scores in the two groups decreased, but that in the control group was significantly lower thanthe study group (P〈0.05). At 2 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of chewing function improvement in the studygroup was significantly higher than that in the study group (P〈0.05). The excellent and good rate of abutment health indexin the study group was significantly higher than that in the study group (P〈0.05). Conclusion Applying fixed denture intopatients with periodontal disease and dentition defect can significantly improve chewing function and abutment healthstatus. In terms of bleeding index score, the active denture repair is significantly better than the fixed denture repair.Clinically, the appropriate treatment method can be selected according to the specific conditions of patients.
