Takeover and Reconstruction of Taiwan’s Judicial System

日本殖民统治者在台湾推行严刑峻法,通过引进西方现代司法体系,来奴役台湾人民。台调会为接管台湾司法做出了初步规划,这种准备是十分必要的。1945年10月,台湾回归祖国的怀抱,长官公署展开对台湾司法的接收与重建工作,处理各种各样的困难。台湾司法体系的去日本化和中国化过程中夹杂着一系列的冲突。台籍司法人才必须立即学习国语国文,熟悉中华民国的法制,与新来的管理者沟通,面临重重挑战。

The Japanese colonists implemented severe penal codes,and enslaved the pepole in Taiwan by introduction of the modem Western judicial system.In order to take over Taiwan judicial system,Taiwan Investigation Committee made preliminary plans.These preparations were very necessary.In October 1945,Taiwan was returned to China.The Governor’s Office of Taiwan Province began to take over and reconstruct Taiwan’s judicial system and reselve various difficulties.There were a series of confrontations in the process of desinicizafion and sinicizafion for Taiwan judicial system.The Taiwan judicial personnel had to learn Chinese immediately and master judicial system of the Republican China and to communicate with new administrators.They faced many challenges.
