劳动力成本上升推动制造业结构升级吗?——来自长三角地区的经验证据

Does Rising Labor Cost Promote the Structural Upgrading of Manufacturing Industry?Evidence from the Yangtze River Delta

劳动力成本是制造业结构变迁的重要影响因素。基于长三角地区的经验数据本文实证检验了劳动力成本上升对制造业结构的影响,研究结果发现,劳动力成本上升对劳动密集型制造业具有积极影响,但并未推动制造业结构升级,创新对制造业结构升级也没有显著的影响。未来应建立制造业企业分类目录、实施差别化产业政策和创新驱动发展战略,引导制造业结构优化,推动"中国制造"转向"中国智造"。

The labor cost is an important factor influencing the structural change of manufacturing industry. Based on the empirical data of ＂Yangtze River Delta＂ economic zone, this paper makes an empirical test on the effect of the rising labor cost on the manufacturing industry structure. The study finds that, the rising labor cost generally promotes the upgrading of the manufacturing industry structure, but the effect of the rising labor cost on the technology intensive manufacturing industry is not significant. In the context of the rising labor cost we should implement differentiated industrial policies, actively guide and promote the optimization and upgrading of the manufacturing structure, and promote the transformation from ＂made in China＂ to Chinese wisdom .
