A Review of the Academic Seminar of “Chinese Gentlemen and Modern Society”

2018年9月22日,"中华君子与现代社会"学术研讨会暨中华君子文化研究中心揭牌仪式在上海交通大学举行。来自十余所高校、科研机构的精通儒家文化与君子之道的专家学者云集,以文论道。讨论的议题涉及君子概念的哲学阐释、君子之道的历史嬗变以及君子文化的现代意义等。此次研讨会的召开对于君子文化的深入研究与广泛普及均有深远的意义。

On September 22, 2018, the academic seminar of “Chinese gentlemen and modern society” and the opening ceremony of the Center for Chinese Gentleman Culture Research were held at Shanghai Jiaotong University. Experts and scholars from more than ten universities and scientific research institutes who are proficient in Confucian culture and principles that gentlemen should follow gathered at this seminar to discuss the issue of “Chinese gentlemen and modern society”. The topics they discussed entail the philosophical interpretation of the concept of gentlemen, the historical evolution of principles that gentlemen should follow and the modern significance of Chinese gentleman culture. This seminar has far-reaching significance for the in-depth study and extensive popularization of Chinese gentleman culture.
